Welcome to our service disruption page that we use to post disruptions to services due to road works, road closures or other incidents.

All diversions are correct at time of posting.

Works are weather dependent and may be changed or extended at short notice.

M23 Weekend Closures

As part of the ongoing M23 Smart Motorway Project, the M23 will be closed for 5 weekends.

Work will begin on Friday 28 February 2020 and continue for the next four weekends.

For Gatwick Airport, traffic will be diverted off the motorway at Junction 10 and via A2011, A23 and Airport Way to reach the terminals.

For the M25, traffic will follow the A264 and A22 to join the M25 at Junction 6 (Godstone).

The diversion route is expected to be very busy and delays should be expected in the local area.

Please note the following sequence of weekend closures:

Friday 6 March to Monday 9 March – Southbound Junction 8 - Junction 10

Friday 13 March to Monday 16 March- Northbound Junction 10 - Junction 8

Friday 20 March to Monday 23 March – Southbound Junction 8 - Junction 10

On the final weekend, the closure direction will switch after 28 hours:

21:00 Friday 27 March to 01:00 Sunday 29 March – Northbound Junction 10 - Junction 8

01:00 Sunday 29 March to 05:00 Monday 30 March – Southbound Junction 8 - Junction 10

We also expect the A23 & A217 between Crawley and Redhill/Reigate to be busier than usual.

Pease Pottage Works

Routes 1/271/273 will be unable to serve Brighton Road Pease Potttage NB only from Monday 23rd March 2020 for 5 nights between 2000-0600 each night.

This includes the stops at the Black Swan.

Route 1 will terminate at the top of Tollgate Hill, Routes 271/273 will be diverted via the A23 .

Route 21 - Church Lane Headley

Major roadworks begin on Church Lane, Headley from Monday 6th January 2020 for up to 6 months.

Church Lane will be closed for the duration of the works. 

Buses will be diverted via Leech Lane and Mill Way in both directions.

Route 430/435 - Princes Road, Earlswood

Due to emergency roadworks, Princes Road is currently closed until further notice.

Buses are unable to serve Royal Earlswood Park and are being diverted via A23 and Woodlands Road in both directions.
