Welcome to our service disruption page that we use to post disruptions to services due to road works, road closures or other incidents.
All diversions are correct at time of posting.
Works are weather dependent and may be changed or extended at short notice.
Route 20/100 - Massetts Road, Horley Overnight Closures
Due to overnight roadworks Massetts Road, Horley will be closed from Monday 17th May 2021 for 2 weeks (not weekends) between 2000-0600 each night.
Buses will be diverted via Brighton Road to the Air Balloon in both directions.
Route 20 will then turn right onto Victoria Road and then onto Horley High Street and back to normal line of route, it will oerate the same diversion in reverse.
Route 100 will turn left onto onto Vicarage Lane and resume normal line of route, it will operate the same diverion in reverse.
Route 21 - Church Lane, Headley
Due to roadworks Church Lane, Headley will be closed from Tuesday 11th May 2021 for up to 12 weeks.
Buses will be diverted via Leech Lane, Mill Lane and Reigate Road in both directions.
Buses will be unable to serve Headley Court.
Route 51 - Trafalgar Road, Horsham
Due to a sink hole at the end of Trafalgar Road, Horsham buses are currently unable to serve Trafalgar Road.
Buses are diverting to the end of Rushams Road and onto N Parade.
We currently do not know how long the works will be in place.
Route 270*/271/272 - Fox Hill Haywards Heath Closure
Due to major roadworks on the B2112 Fox Hill, Haywards Heath the road will be closed in both directions from Tuesday 6th April 2021 for up to 16 weeks.
Route 271/272 will be diverted via Rocky Lane, Isaac's Lane, London Road and Queen Elizabeth Avenue in both directions.
Buses will be unable to serve Fox Hill, Wivelsfield, Janes Lane, Worlds End, however Compass Bus (166) will be providing a service from Ote Hall Chapel via Ditchling Road, Janes Lane and Worlds End.
*Route 270 will be diverted from Worlds End to provide a service to Junction Road and Burgess Hill Station*
Route 270 will not be serving Wivelsfield Station, Leylands Road or Mill Road, however Compass Bus Route 33 will provide a service from these areas to Burgess Hill town centre.
Compass Bus will accept Metrobus tickets/passes on their services between Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill on routes 33 and 166, under an agreement with West Sussex County Council.
Passengers with MTickets/Key Cards/printed Metroriders will be able to use the Compass Bus services to reconnect with our services in Burgess Hill or Haywards Heath.
Delays are possible.
Route 430/435 - Battlebridge Lane, Closure
Battlebridge Lane will be closed from Monday 10th May 2021 for up to 2 week.
Buses will be diverted via Watercolor Estate in both directions.
