The sunny season is just around the corner, and we want to help you do more for less! So, we’ve put together a list of some of our most amazing routes and destinations to explore this summer.
With the national £3 fare cap on single journeys in place until December 2026, and ticket options to suit any itinerary for a day out, getting around by bus this summer is an affordable, convenient and sustainable way to adventure.
What’s more, those travelling in West Sussex aged 16 - 20 can travel for the same price as the existing child rate, perfect for affordable adventures with friends when school (or college!) is out.

Get to know Brighton by bus this summer. So much more than just a seaside city, the cultural metropolis hosts endless itineraries for a great day out.
From beachfront restaurants, independent record stores, and iconic attractions, Brighton is a perfect location for those who value exploring and want to enjoy a day out with friends for less. With a huge array of unique stores, you can shop to your heart’s content in Brighton’s Lanes and North Laine. Enjoy a delicious lunch, grab a coffee, or simply take in the sights at Pavilion gardens.

Eastbourne
For a journey almost as scenic as the destination, the brand-new route 500 between Gatwick Airport and Eastbourne has unlocked a whole host of new locations for a summer day out with Metrobus.
Through picturesque Nutley and Lower Dicker, sit back and relax all the way to Eastbourne, where the seaside resort town awaits!
Why not make a day of it and get to know local stories and hidden histories of the area on board an Eastbourne Sightseeing tour? The 16-stop open-top bus tour stops a stone’s throw away from ‘Cornfield Road (Stop C1)’ and ‘Gildredge Road (Stop G2)’ and will take you on a mesmerising adventure of Eastbourne and beyond.
If you’re looking for another day out by the coast, pack your sunglasses and visit Worthing this summer!
Metrobus routes 23 and 23X take you through the heart of the seaside town, operating right up to the famous Worthing Pier.
