As Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex, Wakehurst is home to over 500 acres of glorious gardens and woodland, along with a picturesque Elizabethan mansion.

The botanic gardens boast everything from formal and ornamental gardens, to temperate woodlands and the tranquil Loder Valley nature reserve. Wakehurst is also home to the Millennium Seed Bank, the largest wild seed bank in the world.

Wakehurst has restaurants on site, including the Seeds café at the visitor centre and the Stables restaurant by the mansion. There is also a large gift shop and plant shop.

Open all year round, excluding 24 & 25 December, and get 50% off admission if you travel there by bus!
