The future of transport at STEM in the Park

1 month ago Thu 29th May 2025

On Saturday 17th May the Metrobus team were delighted to return to Crawley’s Memorial Gardens for another spectacular STEM in the Park event.

The inspiring community-focused event brought the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to life through fun hands-on activities inspiring creativity, teamwork and curiosity. STEM in the Park also offered valuable careers advice for young people and families, connecting local talent with employers and educators.

Attended by over 5000 visitors, we were pleased to exhibit our brand new double-deck hydrogen bus.

Hydrogen buses are not only sustainable with the use of green hydrogen but also environmentally friendly due to the zero tailpipe emissions. Both of these combined help to tackle both climate change and improve air quality in our local area.

Ifield Community College’s STEM Bus was also at the event and offered interactive onboard activities.

Councillor Michael Jones, Leader of Crawley Borough Council said:

“I am really pleased that we were able to support STEM in the Park again this year. I thoroughly enjoyed looking round and many thanks to all the exhibitors and organisers.”

See you next year STEM in the Park!
