Santa's Elf and Safety message!

Direct from his workshop in the North Pole, Santa said the following:

Ho HO HO 

Hello and a very jolly, festive Ho-Ho-Ho to you each and every one of you! Whilst Rudolf and all my reindeer are resting up ready to fly me around the world on Christmas Eve, I will be spending my time aboard my very own magical Santa Bus.

My little helpers from the engineering department at Metrobus has readied my wonderful open top, festive bus so I can come out to visit you all before Christmas. Isn’t that exciting?

Now, whilst the Santa Bus and myself are very jolly this year, my Elf and Safety Team have asked that I remind everyone that lots of children will be coming out to see me on top of the bus, so it’s extremely  important that we think about Santa Bus Safety. 

So just a couple of Safety Tips from the Elf and Safety Team: 

• Use the local buses to travel to see the Santa Bus - if you must drive please be mindful about where you park on a Santa Bus route -  respect residents parking and ensure its an actual parking space to allow other vehicles to freely pass. We need to ensure that we have safe passing points for other vehicles. • Please don't follow in your car or drive behind the Santa Bus - this makes it more difficult for other vehicles to safely overtake.  Remember that children will be crossing over the roads. To remind everyone, this year we've added a 'Caution Children Crossing' sign to the rear of the bus. 
• The Santa Bus is a moving vehicle and so please listen to the Elf and Safety Team on any instructions that they share. 

And remember to wrap up warmly, look out for each other and give me a cheery wave as we pass you by.
