Get to Heathrow or Visit Oxford With The Airline Coach Service
9 months ago
Are you taking a flight from Heathrow Airport? Or do you fancy visiting the beautiful city of Oxford – The city of dreaming spires, with its stone buildings, quadrangles, cobbled lanes and riverside walks? Well now, both locations are even easier to get to.
We’ve teamed up with our friends at the Oxford Bus Company to make tickets for their luxury coach service, “The Airline” available via our mobile app. The Airline operates from the north and south terminals at Gatwick Airport, up to every hour, from early to late, seven days a week. You can even use connecting Metrobus services for free in the Crawley Metrorider area with a valid Airline ticket.
To purchase the ticket, simply visit the “Oxford Airline” section of the Mobile Tickets menu on our app. When you purchase a ticket, you will receive two sections which can be activated separately. One to use on your outbound journey, and one to use on your return. Tickets will remain active on your screen for enough time for you to use a Metrobus service to get to Gatwick Airport, and for you to board your selected journey to Heathrow Airport or Oxford. They will also remain active for long enough for you to get home on a Metrobus service on your return journey.
Tickets will be available from February 14th onwards.
Journeys to Heathrow Central are as little as 70 minutes, and 80 minutes to Heathrow Terminal 5, while journeys to Oxford can take as little as 3 hours.
Return tickets to Heathrow Airport are £20.00 for an adult, or just £45.00 for a group of up to four people. So why not leave the car at home, and make significant savings on the costs of fuel and parking next time you go away. If you’re travelling to Oxford, prices are £45.00 for an adult, or £99.00 for a group of up to four.
