Metrobus to host charity ‘Pull a Bus’ competition
1 year ago

As part of Metrobus’ Depot Open Day on Saturday 6th September marking 42 years of service, a ‘Pull a Bus’ competition is being hosted in aid of St. Catherines Hospice and other local charities.
Metrobus are asking local communities and businesses to rally together and enter in teams of 10. The competition will take place on 6th September during the Open Day at Crawley Bus Depot at Wheatstone Close, and spectators are encouraged to attend. 18 teams will take part, with the winning team receiving a unique trophy.
The event will also give the public a chance to go behind the scenes at a working bus depot, learn about Crawley’s one-of-a-kind hydrogen refuelling station and step on board some vintage vehicles. Entry to the event is free and there will be refreshment stalls and exclusive merchandise on offer throughout the day.
Dave Wright, Depot Manager for Metrobus at Crawley bus depot, said: “We’re hugely excited to welcome the public to our open day in September. There’s lots to explore and learn about, including our brilliant hydrogen fleet and refuelling station. We’ll also be raising money for St. Catherine's Hospice, so be sure to grab a team of 10 friends or colleagues, and come and try pulling one of our buses!”
