Metrobus are proud to announce that once again they will be supporting the Royal British Legion (RBL) by providing free travel to Poppy Collectors for the next six weeks, as well as embellishing the front of 50 buses with large Poppy stickers, designed by the RBL.

For Remembrance Sunday (10th November) and Remembrance Day (11th November) we will continue to provide free travel to all veterans wearing their service medals and to serving members of the Armed Forces carrying their military ID cards.

Poppies will begin to appear on our buses in the next couple of weeks. Click here to view the Poppies on Buses fleet list.

Nick Hill, Commercial Director at Metrobus said: “The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal is a lifeline for thousands of serving and ex-serving personnel and their families, so we are proud to be supporting their great work by providing free travel to Poppy Collectors, veterans and to serving personnel of our armed forces”

Lauryn Francis, Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Manager for West Sussex, said: “We appreciate all the support provided by Metrobus. The free travel for our collectors enables them to fundraise right across the region and ensure people can donate towards the RBL and raise vital funds that help the Armed Forces community, past and present.

“Extending the free travel to veterans during the Remembrance period is particularly appreciated, as it allows the community to attend events and services that enable people to unite and remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from Britain and the Commonwealth.”

From Friday 11th October – Monday 25th November any RBL Poppy Collector can travel for free.

On Sunday 10th and Monday 11th November, anyone wearing their own military service medals or/and carrying their military ID card can travel for free.
