American Express® cards are now accepted on Metrobus services

Get ready to tap and go with Amex®!

We're excited to announce American Express® cards are now accepted on Metrobus services. Enjoy travel anywhere on our networks in and around areas such as Horsham, Worthing, Epsom, and Tunbridge Wells.

Use your American Express Card for travel payments on our mobile app and via the tap-on, tap-off  (TOTO) system on board the bus. The process for payment of bus travel via the app is simple. Simply sign up for an account and register your Amex® Card to purchase daily, weekly, monthly, or longer-term tickets. Plus, there’s access to bus timetables, discounts, and a live tracking feature on our app, so you know exactly where your bus is at any time.

Boarding our bus and paying with an American Express Card works in the same way as other contactless payment cards. Simply tap-on and tap-off at the start and end of each journey. Or buy a ticket with an American Express Card. Single contactless tickets are still capped at £3 until 31st December 2025 - no matter how far the journey is on our network.
