Service update
Following the temporary withdrawal of our hydrogen single‑deck buses, a decision taken as a precaution to ensure your safety and the safety of our drivers and colleagues, the vehicles remain under investigation.
To keep services running, we are currently operating buses kindly loaned to us by other operators from across the UK.
While this has helped us maintain services across the network, using unfamiliar vehicles has presented some operational challenges. In particular, sourcing spare parts for these borrowed buses can take longer than usual, which has affected vehicle availability.
As a result, there have been some cancellations, mainly on our busier routes, to allow us to continue running less frequent services where alternative travel options are more limited.
We understand how disruptive and frustrating cancellations can be and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. Safety remains our absolute priority, and our teams are working tirelessly to manage these challenges, minimise disruption, and restore service levels as quickly as possible. We sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.
Mowbray, Horsham - Bus Stop Changes from 30th May
From Saturday 30th May, revised stopping arrangements will be introduced for route 71 in Mowbray. This is to enable the removal of the bus turning area on Bailey Road so it can be extended eastwards as part of the growing development. New Stops will be introduced on Moat Road instead, and a short-term stop will be located on Rusper Road south of the junction of Bailey Road. The short term stop will be served by buses towards Horsham only.
If you would usually alight at the current Bohunt School stop, you can use the new stops on Moat Road and walk across Rusper Road. Alternatively you can remain on the bus whilst it stands at Moat Road and alight as at the short term stop as it returns to Horsham. If you would usually board at the current Bohunt School stop, you can use the short term stop on Rusper Road.
Buses will return to using the newly extended Bailey Road in the future, once construction work has concluded. We anticipate this will take some time, but will confirm the date once we've been made aware of it by the developers.
