To burn off all of those empty calories, Santa would now have to run for approximately 109,000 years. Good luck with that, Santa! Why not help Santa out and leave him a healthy snack this year instead!
  • On March 15th 2022, Santa celebrated his 1,751th Birthday!
  • Santa and Mrs Claus have been married for over 200 years! This means he was single for more than 1500 years!
  • Santa Claus is known by many different names around the world, such as ‘Papa Noel’ in Spanish, 'Weihnachtsmann' in Germany, and 'Joulupukki' in Finland
  • It is thought that Santa's sleigh needs to travel at 1,800 miles per second in order to visit all the children in the world on Christmas eve. We asked Santa if this is true and he said 'Speed is not the same on my sleigh. All you need to know is that it's powered by Christmas magic"
  • Santa has been visiting children in department stores and shopping centres for nearly 130 years! The tradition was born in America in 1890.
  • Santa always had 8 reindeer Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen.
  • Rudolph is now his ninth reindeer after he was added to Santa’s reindeer team on one Christmas Eve during a bad snowstorm.  Santa’s 8 reindeer could not see to fly through the storm.  Rudolph with his glowing red nose lit the way for Santa’s sleigh and so now goes out with them every Christmas Eve
  • Rudolph the Red Nosed reindeer is thought to be 82 years old.
  • Santa Claus and Mrs Claus do not have any children, but they are thought to look after around 110,000 elves!
