Our Metrobus team based at Crawley depot are looking for an experienced PSV electrician to join their engineering team, working Monday-Friday shifts, 06:00-14:30. The role’s main responsibilities involve maintaining, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on buses to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
Key duties and responsibilities:
•Carrying out electrical diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on PSV Vehicles
•Inspect and test vehicle electrical systems and components
•Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment
•Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
•Maintain accurate maintenance records
You will need:
•Previous experience as a PSV Electrician, HGV Electrician or equivalent
•A full manual driving licence giving entitlement to drive in the UK. A PCV licence is desirable. If the applicant does not have a PCV licence they must be willing to achieve this
•NVQ Level 3 PSV / HGV electrical qualification or equivalent.
•Previous experience of working with large passenger type vehicles would be an advantage, or alternatively, experience working with commercial vehicles
•Knowledge of PSV electrical systems and CAN bus systems preferred
•Good communication and team working skills, able to work with others and build relationships
•The ability to work without close supervision, taking ownership and pride in your work
