MOT Supervisor, Crawley

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced vehicle engineer who will be responsible for undertaking all manner of work required to maintain a fleet of public service vehicles to company and DVSA standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of MOT engineers and MOT workshop activities whilst presenting vehicles for annual test.

Shift pattern: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Key duties and responsibilities:
-Lead and motivate a team of MOT engineers
-Carry out MOT inspections, repairs and final checks of all vehicles before test. The role also requires presentation of vehicles on the test.
-Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, including but not limited to Hexagon work orders, stores paperwork and maintenance documents
-Adhere to company policies and remain fully aware of Health & Safety responsibilities and relevant regulations

You will need:
-A full manual driving license giving entitlement to drive in the UK
-A PCV license is desirable although if the application does not have a PCV license they must be willing to achieve this
-Relevant recognised engineering qualification, including the IRTEC accreditation, is preferred
-Previous experience of working with large passenger type vehicles would be an advantage, alternatively experience working with commercial vehicles
-A flexible approach with respect of working hours and tasks undertaken
-Good communication and team working skills, able to work with others and build relationships
-Ability to work without close supervision, taking ownership and pride in your work
