As an Engineering Shift Supervisor at our Lewes Road depot, you will be supervising a team of skilled engineers working a 7/3 – 7/4 off shift pattern, earlier and lates. We are looking for a well-motivated individual who can demonstrate first-class management skills and work effectively under pressure to ensure the depot is fully supported.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Supervision of all engineering colleagues whilst on duty, including monitoring safety, performance and adherence to our policies and procedures
• Adhering to maintenance schedule, inspections and carrying out quality checks
• Making sure vehicle availability is met and reducing mileage to a minimum
• Responsibility for 24-hour sheets, inspection sheets, driver defects, audits during your shift; and completing all associated paperwork to ensure compliance
• Maintain strong communications with all departments and take phone calls from contractors, breakdowns and colleagues
• Responsible for security and Health & Safety of colleagues on premises
• Expected to cover colleagues’ tasks when required
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Health and Safety, Data Protection etc.)
• Inspect and repair vehicles as required
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required
You will need:
• A full manual car licence (PCV licence and IRTEC accreditation desirable)
• Experience in industry and NVQ level 3 would be desirable
• Competency with Microsoft products
• The desire to keep learning and developing, taking on all training
provided
