During 2003 the London Buses requirement for vehicles on new contracts alterted to 95% red. A large number of new buses were delivered to Metrobus in July/August 2003 for London contracts and these featured this livery with a thinner blue and yellow band than the previous red version. The London Buses requirement was altered again in 2004 (to red with coloured skirt) and following the decision in 2005 to phase out the yellow on non-London buses, the blue and yellow bands have subsequently been painted out on these buses.
