Non Driving Vacancies

Shift Engineer, Crawley Depot

We currently have an opening for a shift engineer at our Crawley Depot working daytime hours on a four-on-four-off pattern.

You will be responsible for

  •  Assisting with maintaining and servicing our fleet of vehicles to Company standards.
  • Fault finding and repairs to Company vehicles.
  • Attending roadside breakdowns.
  • Ensuring Company Health & Safety guidelines are followed.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate being conversant with maintenance and repair of Public Service Vehicles and be able to work on their own initiative. Applicants should also have a proven history of carrying out maintenance and repair tasks on Public Service Vehicles to a high standard and be able to make full use of lap top based diagnostic packages.

We want people who…

  • Have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  • Have held a full manual driving licence giving entitlement to drive in the United Kingdom, without disqualification
  • Hold a full manual driving licence with no more than 3 endorsement points. Please note that points for some offences (such as CD and DR) will stay on the licence for 11 years from conviction
  • Are prepared to work early, late and weekend shifts and some Bank Holidays
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Live within 20 miles of their chosen depot
